Acetyl L Carnitine : powerful energizer and antioxidant

Acetyl l Carnitine is an amino acid found in foods, such as beef, chicken, cheese and milk. It is an acetylated version of popular  supplement L- carnitine , found in many fat burners. This version can cross the blood brain barrier, which means it provide nootropic and energising effects, while still providing the same benefits as L-carnitine.

How does Acetyl L Carnitine feel like?

ALCAR usually provides people with instant boost in energy , and better cognitive skills.

Acetyl L carnitine mostly affect neurotransmitter Acetylcholine. This neurotransmitter is associated with memory and learning, but it also stimulates muscles to contract. So it is good idea to use Acetyl L Carnitine before aerobic or anaerobic workout.

Acetyl L carnitine also affects norepinephrine and serotonine, and inhibiting the neurotransmitter GABA.

Acetyl L Carnitine is a strong antioxidant as well , which can contribute to higher energy levels. It also increases androgen receptors density, which is another reason to have some ALCAR before workout.

People with ADHD can benefit using ALCAR as well. Based on a study , 20 to 50 miligrams of Acetyl-L-Carnitine per bodyweight over the course of 1 year, was able to improve social behaviour and attention in boys aged 6-13 . ALCAR also reduced aggression in children.

ALCAR boosts your blood flow, increasing the amount of nitrates. This will also help with erections. It is a pain reliever as well – Acetyl L carnitine can reduce chronic neuropathic pain.

Good Acetyl L carnitine Stacks

ALCAR + Coenzyme Q10+Alpha Lipoic acid :  I would call this mitchondrial energy stack. You can even add Creatine monohydrate in, to boost ATP production (adenosine triphosphate, compound that provides energy to drive many processes in living cells).  Coenzyme Q10 also Works on ATP production. Alpha lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant. This is very energizing stack. You can start  with ratio  300 mg Acetyl-L-Carnitine: 50 mg Coenzyme Q10: 600 milligrams Alpha Lipoic Acid, and if needed, slowly increase miligrams of each compound daily.

ALCAR + L theanine: This is my favourite stack before studying or writing an article. Energizing power of Acetyl  Carnitine is balanced with calming effect of L theanine . I use ratio of 600 mg ALCAR: 200 mg L theanine.

ALCAR + Alpha GPC +L tyrosine + caffeine + L theanine This is my preworkout stack. Effects are strongly energising, while there is an amino acid L theanine to balance out the energy. Alpha GPC is the most bioavailable type of choline, which can cross the blood-brain barrier. It is great for workout purposes, because it provides energy for muscle contraction and based on studies, it is increasing  power output. L tyrosine is a precursor for L dopa, which is being transformed into dopamine. L tyrosine will provide us with the drive and a little bit of agression that is needed in the gym. Caffeine is the most well-known stimulant ad will provide raw energy and focus.

I use ratio of : 600 mg ALCAR

300 mg Alpha GPC

400 mg L tyrosine

200 mg caffeine

200 mg L theanine
